“Love is what the universe iS made of”
This is our very first post of Edible Love, offerings to fill your heart in compliment the herbal creations we share to fill your cups.
Sabina, one of my 5 year old nibblings ( a little related through kinship ) asked her mother, “Mama, what is love?”
“Love is what the Universe is made of,” was her mother’s response.

My parent’s were gifted at recognizing and filling the world around them with the inherent love in all. Ignorant of the controversy of Valentien’s day, they began their union on February 14th in celebration of love. And dare I say, they even tried to induce labor to bring me into this world the following year on that day, I held out for 8 more days though :).
BED TEA, A HUG IN A MUG
As a tribute to Love, to my parents, to the love that is in all, this first recipe share of Edible Love is simple, sweet and fills our inner and outer cups with that intangible yet omnipresent essence. When we tap into that essence it can’t help but overflow, ripe and juicy, into all we touch.
Tea was a ritual for my parents.
“Me milk, mommy tea” was what little Sunali would direct my father to bring in the mornings. Such a simple act can hold so much service and heart. Off papa would go to the kitchen bringing water to boil.
Spoon, cup, saucer, tea pot and strainer would all be heated with hot water before the tea was made. Milk was also heated so he could serve that steamy cup to his beloved in her favorite vessel, a thin lipped porcelain cup.
Years later, Marc, a sweetheart who lived with us, would honor the tradition bringing tea to my parents in bed.
It’s no surprise that their off srping is the purveyor of Heathy High, a drink ritual that spreads love by offering nourishing plants in unique tasty creations. On this rainy weekend in March we hope you are filling the vesesls of your bodies and cups with the essence of the divine and feel inspired to bring ritual into more of your habits by adding that extra touch of love.
